Default Adjusting door glass

Hey all,

Does anyone know how to adjust the door glass in a 69? I have gap between the window and the new weatherstripping that goes on the top of the door (Outside).

Thanks!

The tilt in-out adjustment is ontroled by the front and rear runs. They are the curved metal rods that screw into the base and top of the door. Pulling the bottom in pushes the top of the window out. Pushing the run to the outside of the door, tilts the window back in.

Thanks! The adjustment your talking about, are those the two bolts on the bottom of the door that moves the track? As I tried to adjust those, but it really didn't help much at all. Do I have to take the door panel off to adjust them?

I wont hurt to take the panel off. Then you can see whats going on in there, maybe they are stuck/rusted and wont fully move. You could loosen the equalizer arm. It might give you some more play. The regulator is an X 1 end is where the handle goes, the top 2 ends bolt to the glass, the last one anchors it to the doorproviding leverage. the last one is the EQ arm and is adjustable. I hope that made sense, it's easier with a pic. lol It's a juggeling match. Kinda like aligning the body, oh by the way is the door aligned properly? is the weatherstripping in properly?

Hey there!

Yeah the door is aligned properly, and the weatherstripping is in there correct. As for all the adjustments your talking about, honestly I'm completely lost I just know there are two bolts next to the door panel, and a little tiny bolt in the jam of the door, and another little one on the other side, and two on the bottom of the door. Which ones I need to adjust I don't know. I've tried them all.
