Question T-5 emblem

I have a maroon 1966 Mustang 72-74k +/- miles, 289 V8, convertible my father bought while stationed in Germany back in '65. It has emblems on the side by the mustang insignia that say T-5. The story goes that these were placed there to honor a fair import trade law (the Germans produced a utility truck called Mustang during that period), thank you UN!. The only place this car says Mustang is on the vehicle plate located on the inside of the glove box door. This is a very rare vehicle.

SOooo my question is a '2-parter'.

1. Does anyone know where I can get one of these emblems?

2. What do you think it might be worth on the market?

To give you some back ground on this vehicle, my mother used it for a while, and so did I, but it has been garage kept and is in great condition. For the last 14 years the only driving done with it has been about a monthly 10 mile loop around the neighboorhood and a little run on the expressway, lord knows I love the sound of that princess opening up.

Some of the more larger Mustang Parts suppliers should have it, try www.californiamustang.com or www.dallasmustang.com. Mustang Parts of Oklahoma may have it, i think they are www.ilovemymustang.com.

As for value, I have no idea. Back in the 80's when I first got into the hobby, Mustang Monthly was in love with the T-5 and you read about them all the time, I haven't heard much lately. You may try writing to www.mustangmonthly.com and ask, someone may know.

Default T-5 emblem

Hi, being the T-5 co-registrar and First Mustang Club of Germany editor, you may want to check our T-5 website at http://people.freenet.de/fmcog
(in the menu T-5)
Early T-5 emblems have become obsolete since years, although occasionally there is one on e-bay.
I haven't found one in the past 3 years and have requests of half a dozen of owners. They typically now fall into the 75$ area, although 150$ have been offered recently.
