![]() Any tips for removing dash bezel and gauges on a 67? I have never done this before, but I figure it can't be that difficult.
Thanks in advance. ------------------ 67 Fastback - Arctic White Pearl paint 351W ,Trick Flow Aluminum Heads, Edelbrock TorkerII, Carter 750 CFM, Comp. Cam 477/510 219/233@.050, Performance Automatic C-4 Trans, 3.55 gears, Front Disc Brakes, 1-1/8" Fr. 3/4" rear sway bars. My 351W Fastback |

![]() The trim pieces around the dash are held by locking pins behind them. They are easily broken because they are a round metal piece that looks like a washer that are hold on to it with the same plastic trim. only way to reach them is taking your stereo trim off and the glove box. Even then they are a real pain to remove. As for the intrument cluster you need to disconect everthing off of it from behind. Might be a good idea to take off your seats so you can lay in comfort. Good luck on removing those pins they break so damn easy.

![]() To remove the instrument cluster. It helps if you take the heater/AC controls out of the dash. then undo the 4 screws that hold the cluster. You can reach in through the A/
c controls hole to disconnect the wiring plug and the speedo cable. |

![]() Thanks for the info
So I cannot remove the bezel without removing the gauges, correct? Does the plug disconnect everything except the speedo cable? ------------------ 67 Fastback - Arctic White Pearl paint 351W ,Trick Flow Aluminum Heads, Edelbrock TorkerII, Carter 750 CFM, Comp. ![]() I haven't had mine out in a while. But, I'm pretty sure that the plug does it all. It plugs into the printed circuit that is fastned to the cluster.
Oh, yeah just remembered the wiper switch has a plug too. |

![]() Just pulled my dash cluster out. All this talk about gauges got me going. I want to have my clock and tach repaired. Now I have it out in front of me. There are two plugs that disconnect everything except the wiper, own separate plug, and the speedo cable. Put a towel over the steering column and finesse it out.
