Post Cowl Induction Hood on Street Car?

Is it a good idea to have a cowl induction hood on a car that see's the outdoor elements on a daily basis? Will leaves or water fall into the engine compartment? Just wondering because I'm thinking of buying a hood like this for the 67'.
