Question 66 Stang rebuild

I am very close to purchasing my 1st '66 stang, and was hoping to get some information because it is a good project car. I was hoping for links, names of books, or personal advise on rebuilding it. It has a 289, manual tranny. There is something draining the battery when it doesn't run, owner isn't sure on what. The owner replaced the alternator, distributor and coil. It needs new quarters, and floor pans, along with some good amount of other body work. The 289 was rebuild 1,000 miles ago. I have plans for a 351W with a 5spd tranny to put in it down the road. Don't have either, but it's going to be a slow moving project. I was just hoping for some references to start reading up on. THANKS!!
