Default Roller Tip Rockers

Hey all,
I am going to be buying a set of 289 heads and doing the port work myself, along with with the rebuild. The next step is trying to decide with set of rocker arms I want to use. I've looked into Crane and Comp primarily, and I have to say that the Comp Magnum rockers are calling my attention most, but they are posted as having max lift of 1.6 vs. Crane's 1.65 (Summit lists Comp at $30 cheaper than Crane).

When my engine is complete it will primarily be a street machine with minimal strip visits. Max hp I am looking to get out of the engine is approx 350 hp. What are you all using, and what do you recommend.

What are the major considerations? How does lift come into the picture? Major brands I'm looking into so far are Ford Racing, Crower, Comp, and Crane. Let me know what you all think.

Oh, I'd consider this a moderate budget that I'm working with. Price range for rockers that I'm looking at is $130 - $200.

Thanks!

I have the Proform 1.6 rockers. You can buy them from Jegs. They are very affordable. I think I paid around 159.00 for them. I can't remember exactly how much but they were under 200. I have had no problems with them to date. Good luck with it. Oh yeah, mine are the pedestal mount. I think stud mount are the same price though.
