Default Emblem Location

I am finally getting my car painted (1965 Coupe) next week. It has new fenders and the old ones are gone so I don't have any reference. Can anyone tell me the best way to fine the location for the putting the running horse and 289 emblems back on the fender. I want to make sure they are in the correct location and eyeing them up might work, but if there is a better way - I sure would like to hear it.
Thanks!!
