I think they also used Holley 4150s |

![]() Holleys are hard to hook up with the Automatic trans. The original was the Autolite 4100. Make sure you get one set up for the automatic. I bought a couple of rebuilders to do the same thing, but mine were not the right ones, so I sold them. I am going to eventually get an Edelbrock Performer 389 with Edelbrock 500 cfm carb and the matched cam.

![]() Thanks. The shop manual makes no reference to an Autolite 4100 but a Holley 4150, this is what confused me. After your replay I found in an old Fords and Mustangs tech write-up that there were two stock 289 Autolite 4100's, A Code and K code.
The search continues. Thanks again. |

![]() The K code was the factory Hi Performance engine, 271 HP, the A code was the normal 289 with 4 bbl.
