Angry I broke my stang

I just got my '65 coupe running and the ignition switched decided to self destruct. I was able to duck tape it together, but got a new from autozone the next day. Hooked it up and it didn't work. Unfortunately, it was the wrong one, looked the same, but looks like some of the terminals are wired differently. Well I got the right one, but now she won't start. In the on position, the oil light turns on, but not the alt light. B4 they would both light up. Accessories work, but she won't turn over. Did I blow a fuse or something worse? Any help is appreciated.

Not enough info to go on. What do you mean when you say the old switch self destructed? Were you doing something that resulted in it happening? If so, what? If the engine won't turn over since you installed the new ignition switch my thought is that you have a wiring issue. E.

The switch literally fell apart, broke in two. I taped it back together and it worked, it was a temp fix at best. I got what I thought was the right replacement, but it wasn't. Looked the exactly the same, but when I tested the terminals with a tester, turns out it's wired differently. I got the correct switch, but not it doesn't turn over at all. Before when the key was in the "on" position, both the oil and alt dash lights came on, now only the oil light is on.

I was able to start it by shorting the starter relay and battery. Thinking either the neutral switch or maybe I loosened a wire behind the dash.

Yes, that would be my guess. Check the wiring to the back of the ignition switch.
