![]() hello everyone
I am trying to change out my old oil pan. I cant lift the engine out so I am trying to remove it from the bottom of the car. It looks like I have to remove the Bar that connects from one end of the frame to the other, it is right underneith the back part of the oil pan. If I remove this bar will it cause any problems? |

![]() I had to use a big breaker bar with a piece of pipe over the handle to break the bolts loose on that bar.

![]() I removed those bolts a few days ago in order to make room to remove the bolts holding the lower control arms to the frame. It is a pain, so make sure you spray them with some penetrating oil before you go to work on them. You don't need a breaker bar, but I'd imagine it'd help a bit.

![]() I've removed mine a half a dozen times for various reasons. Can't remember any real dificulties doing so. Just use a break over bar and put a little muscle on it (may need to use penetrating oil first).
