Question Headers

I'm re-building a '65 and I put an '89 302 in it. I would greatly appreciate any advice on some quality headers. I've heard good things about MAC,JBA,&Bassani, and on top of that I don't know what 302 headers will fit without any cutting? Thanks a lot!

On my 68 I put Hookers with Jet-Hot coating. They fit perfect, only had to drop the power steering ram with a brkt.

I used Tri-Y headers a la Shelby on my '66. Seem to work great for a street application. Don't bother with nickel plated though. Get them Jet Hot coated if anything or just painted black.

I did try and install factory late model GT Mustang headers. They were take offs. They wouldn't clear the steering box.

Thanks a lot for the helpful info! It's great to find a site where people actually try to help each other out! I'm just now really getting into my '65, so I don't really know that much! Thanks, Bud

I used a set of Flowtech headers (1 5/8" primaries)in my 66 and they fit perfect. The best part was they only cost me $85 new . I would definitely have them coated though.
