![]() Hey everyone. I've got a 67 Mustang with a rebuilt 302 bored .060 over. It has a holly 600 CFM carb, a Holly Street dominator single plain intake, stock heads, Hooker Long tube headers and a c-4 behind it all. I have a MSD 5 box MSD Blaster coil, new plugs, wires and, re-man distibutor. I can't get the timing right for the thing to start and I've tried everything I can think of. I've reset the points with a feeler and set the static timing every way I can think of. please help me and ask if you need any more info.

![]() I've tried to set the static timing by putting the motor at TDC then making a mark on the distributor where the #1 plug is then line the rotor up with the mark but it won't do anything but kinda half sputter so I can't even get it running. And I'm trying to set it to 6 deg. advance cause that's what was stock for this motor. I also forgot to tell about the cam. It's a Crower with 212 in/ 218ex at 0.05 lift for a 351w. I did get the firing order right on the distributor cause I've checked it several times. Here is the cam spec card.
http://crower.com/misc/cam_spec/cam_...=15233&x=0&y=0 Thanks P.S. This is my first time doing anything with a motor and I had one of my friends help me with it but he did mostly Chevy's before so I may have just missed something. That's why I'm here! ![]() You do know that the #1 cylinder is different for Fords and Chevys? The #1 cylinder on Fords is the passenger side front most cylinder. Chevys #1 is drivers side front most. Please pardon me if I'm telling you something you already know.

![]() 1st, what has changed since it was last running. Meaning did you pull the distributor or somethhing along those lines.
When did this problem start? How did you find top dead center? Right now, it sounds like you have the distributor way off, but that is just a shot in the dark off the limited info you gave. Ryan
