![]() At risk of showing my lack of mechanical knowledge I have a question. I purchased a Pertronix electronic ignition for my '67 Mustang. The car has a 289. The instructions are probably adequate but I have run into a problem. There are two wires - positive and negative - from the igniter module that connect to the positive and negative poles on the coil. Obviously the current wire that runs from the distributor to the negative pole on the coil will be removed and replaced by the wire from the igniter module. However, there is what I believe is an ignition wire connected to the positive pole on the coil. This wire also connects to the solinoid. My question is, does this ignition wire stay and if so, does the positive wire from the igniter module connect on top of it? Help!
