![]() I am in the middle of upgrading my alternator to a 3G model. I have ran new 4 gauge wire from it to the starter soleniod with a fuse in-line.
My question is, can I disconnect the orginal wire thats on the starter soleniod, and the other end form the alternator, and still have everything function properly? I am not sure if the car takes voltage readings from that wire, or if the voltmeter uses it. Someone please help me out.
