Default What do you do with the pilot bushing on C4 swap?

Just wondering. I'm getting near the end of my T5 to C4 swap and wasn't sure what to do about this.

Are you talkng about the pilot bearing thats in the end of the crank?

If so, then I'm pretty sure you will have to remove it because the little nub on the torque converter will interfere with it otherwise. Well I'm pretty sure this is the case with the AOD, but its probably the same with a C4

You can rent a removal tool from autozone to get it out

Yes, I meant the pilot bearing/bushing in the crank.

I thought it might be discarded but wasn't sure. Actually I had an old timer show me how to remove them with grease and socket. Thanks.

Fiveopatrol is right. The convertor will have a center piece that will fit right in the hole the missing pilot bearing will make.
