![]() i'm sorry for asking a question like this, i promise i'll ask a hard one sometime soon when i start rebuilding my 289. anyway, it's about what to do with the spare tire. i don't really like how it sits off to the right in the trunk, i want to keep the car as balanced as possible. i'd LIKE to take it out completely, since it's about 25 lbs of pure uselessness, but i know that with my luck i'd get a flat the very next day. basically, i'm curious if anyone knows of a way to secure it exactly in the middle of the trunk. is there any little device or anything i can rig to do that? i've tried mustangsplus in stockton, and i've had no luck so far. i realize this is a silly question, but it's just been nagging me lately and i'm wondering if anyone else has this "problem". thanks in advance for any advice.
