Welcome to Ford.

Its the upper control arm bushings. Try greasing the uppers or try squirting WD-40 or simular on them if they dont have fittings.

***Look under the hood and see if someone has cut holes on the sides of the shock towers where it meets the frame rail. You can get to the grease fitting that way if they have.

The spring perch likes to squeak also.

If your shock towers haven't been drilled for grease fittings you can get some 90 degree angle grease fittings, grease those suckers up and no more squeek. I learned that on my first car, a 70 Maverick.

OK, maybe I'm going to embarrass myself by showing my lack of mechanical knowledge but I'll provide an input anyway. I had the same squeaking problem on my '67 and it drove me nuts. I greased every fitting that I could find but no luck. Finally I had someone bounce my car while I tried to isolate the cause. Well, it turned out that it was coming from the upper control arm - specifically the bolt for the arm. There is a grease fitting on the front of the bolt but nothing on the back. I sprayed a bunch of lithium grease around the back of the bolt and no more squeaking! Brilliant! E.
