Did you check the battery? You may have gotten a bad solenoid,(it happens). Did you try jumping the solenoid over? Just in case, try tapping the starter with a hammer, not too hard, just enough to try to free it up. It may even be a loose wire. If you have tryed all of these and it still doesn't start, I don't have a clue.

OK so here i am with more starting issues. can now will turn over. only now it just wont start, fuel is good all the way into the carb, getting spark from the #1 plug wire. now i did pull the dist to put the new intake back on, and i forgot to mark it so i used a wrench on the balancer to turn the motor over to get back to top dead center. the whole pull the plug and wait for the swooch process. any ideas? something im missing? btw its a 306 edelbrock carb and intake all the points and condenser have been replaced. new cap and rotor. getting good spark.

If you have spark, fuel and compression.....you're most likely out of time.

Go over your dist. install and make certain that you're in right.

Definitly the timing. Mark the #1 cyl. on the dist. Pull the valve cover and the #1 plug. Put a long screwdriver in the plug hole (be extremely careful not to hit the cylinder wall, you will score it). Turn the engine over until the srewdriver comes all the way up and the valves don't move, this is TDC. Put your dist. back in as marked.
