Default stock 4bbl for a 289

I am converting my 289 2 bbl A/T to a 4bbl. I have an OEM 4bbl Manifold (keeping it stock). I can't find what Ford used as the original stock 4bbl. Can I use the Holley 4160 390cfm?

I think the original was a Autolite 4100...
I think they also used Holley 4150s

Holleys are hard to hook up with the Automatic trans. The original was the Autolite 4100. Make sure you get one set up for the automatic. I bought a couple of rebuilders to do the same thing, but mine were not the right ones, so I sold them. I am going to eventually get an Edelbrock Performer 389 with Edelbrock 500 cfm carb and the matched cam.

Thanks. The shop manual makes no reference to an Autolite 4100 but a Holley 4150, this is what confused me. After your replay I found in an old Fords and Mustangs tech write-up that there were two stock 289 Autolite 4100's, A Code and K code.

The search continues. Thanks again.

The K code was the factory Hi Performance engine, 271 HP, the A code was the normal 289 with 4 bbl.
