svo 351w pricing
I am trying to sell my svo 351w crate engine. And am wondering if i am asking to much. 5k, but it is still in the crate. And comes with a set of headman headers i bought as well. I keep geting wow your selling that, yeah i am intrested, till people here the price. But i took $800 off what i paid for the items. What does every one else think. what should i be asking.

Seems like a pretty fair price for a seriously good engine. Dropping it a little under 5k may help with the mental aspect - $4,800 sounds much better than $5,000. I would just keep advertising and bide my time - you will find the right person and sell it. By the way, why are you selling it?

Hey Cobra66, check your email.
------------------ 1966 Baby blue Coupe, 289 w/ man. 3-speed, nothing special but the fact that it is my first mustang. I am a former import guru....no more. I've never run it except on the street, it has new wheels & tires, new exaust, and that about covers it. Looking to change a lot in the future including engine. Any ideas are appreciated. |

I am selling it cause it is just money lying there. I cant afford a tranny to go behind it, and i dare not stick the c-4 i have, for fear of gas mileage. Not to mention that if the engine sells for anywhere close to my asking price, I should able to pick up a 5.0 w/ 5speed, wiring harness and computer for at most 2k. The high hp 351 was just a dream whose reality was short lived.
