Default AutoMeter Tach question... can they be off?

my sport comp monster tach I feel is off maybe 3 or 4 hundred RPMs by the pill thats in the MSD box.. now is this possible? anyone else have troubles like mine out of there tachs?

I've never heard about the tach being off.

But the shift light setting on mine, as well as some other people that I've talked to, will jump around a few hundred RPM, so you have to check it often.

i dont know if you are talking about the rev limiter rpm or just the tach rpm, i know that the rev limiter chips that you put in the msd actually start killing spark about 400-500 rpms before the actual # on the chip, so whatever you want your rev limiter to be just go 500 rpms above that.
