Question Tach/Speedometer question

Question for 71-73 owners
I don't have a trip meter on my speedometer/odometer gauge and I have a tach.

I was told all tachs comes with a trip meter from the factory.

Possible one of the previous owner swapped the gauges?

Anybody has tach without the trip meter?

I have the same thing on my 68. And I heard the same thing you did about the trip odometer.

I know mine was swapped in cause I have an oil pressure gauge and an oil pressure lite, in tach.

Question

Any reason(s) why I can't swap my non-trip meter tach/speedometer with the one that has?

I'm assuming the wiring is the same and the trip meter will feed off of the odometer.

No reason I know of that you can't swap them.
