Default toploader questions

are 2.77 & the 3.03 3-speed trannys considered toploaders?
how to tell the two trannys apart?
does a bellhousing from a 4-speed toploader fit a 3-speed toploader?

Default Re: toploader questions

yes they are both top loader transmissions. the 2.77 has a 4 bolt top cover, and the 3.03 has a 9 bolt top cover same as the top loader 4spd. you can put a top loader 4sp where a 3.03 was installed originally.
