tranny

Okay how much should it cost to have my C-4 rebuilt and what do I need to be aware of when I get it rebuilt. I've been quoted anywhere from $350.00 to $700.00. ANy suggestions or improvements I should make?

O.K., here's what i have. 300 HP, 350 lb/ft with a stock C-4. After 4 yrs. and numerous passes, I fried it, at least the high gear clutches. I just pulled the tranny last weekend. What I did was order (1) 2400 stall TCI Breakaway converter (2) B&M Trans Pak (3) B&M Deep cast aluminum pan (4) 10 qts. B&M Trick Shift fluid, all from Summit for $435. I'm havintg my tranny rebuilt by a local economy guy gor $200. This makes $650 for all with me doing removal/installation including the shift kit. This hopefully will lose 3-5 tenths from my E.T., mostly in the 60' times. Just hoping right now. Check in a few weeks for actual improvements.
