I know this is a forum for classics, of which I have '65 coupe, but my other car, a '96 GT Convertible Mustang, has this sound coming out of my automatic tranny when I hit third and overdrive gears. The sound is something of rumble, somewhere between a flutter and just loud vibration. I was looking to see if anyone has ever heard of this on any tranny, and what I'll have to do to it to repair it,(hope not replace it). Rev, I hope you read this post, you're always a lot of help.
