TransGo in C4 accomplished
Well..We did it. It took us a few hours and had to put the valve body back in 3 times, problems with the passing linkage...we are beginners..but now my son's 67 is shifting like the best of them. Firmer shifts..not to firm..and higher shift points. He recieved Edelbrock Elite air cleaner and valve covers for xmas that he put on that day. Next step? Tony and AJ

Shift kits are awesome, aren't they? I put a B&M shift kit in my C4 awhile back, and even though B&M shift kits aren't considered to be that great, mine felt awesome! Very firm and crisp. The shift points don't matter to me, when I need to shift at a higher RPM I just shift it manually (that's funner anyways). B&M's are cheap too! My street/strip kit costed like $27 is all! It only took a couple hours to do the job...
I've heard TransGo's are one of the best kits out there. I've never put one in a car or driven/ridden in a car with one either, so I'm not one to testify that! I just like my B&M! I put in a TCI Break-a-Way converter and a B&M Supercooler too. Do you have a good set of gears out back? That should be the FIRST step! |
