Default TransGo question

Hey everyone, I have a question for the people who have a transgo shift kit. It takes forever to get into overdrive in normal driving conditions, and it just downshifts into second from third really quick, like as soon as I let off the gas, 2 seconds later it downshifts. I'm not sure if it was installed wrong, or it's supposed to do this? some1 help me out?!

Have you checked your TV linkage adjustment? Mine was off after the kit install.

I installed mine myself and haven't really had a problem. The only thing I see is when I have it in 1st and I'm actually in 2nd, it slams back down into first pretty hard. I just keep it in drive when I down shift and it does OK. As far as 3rd to 2nd, mine shifts earlier on the downshift than it did but it's pretty smooth. The OD prob I couldn't tell you about. Sorry

James

I had the transgo kit in my 95gt and I never had problem with it it up and down shifts were great , it shifted like stock but harder and I had it in the car for over 1 1/2 yrs ( I would check the trans fuild when warn after driving 2-3 miles and put the car in park or neutral and check the level) if you already did that then it could have install wrong. or the trans might need a rebuild , maybe the tv cable not right (not the one to in your house).

Sorry for the delay...I've been busy.

Check out this site:

http://www.txchange.com/aodadj.htm

I used the instructions there and it worked well.
