Default Transmission help!!!

i put a 4 speed toploader in my 70 coupe, and the shifter does not line up at all!!! tranny came from a falcon, has hurst shifter.

More info could be helpful. Like where is the problem to far forward to far back off to one of the sides? got any pics of it etc?

it's an inch to high, and an inch and a half into the drivers side floorboards. I can take some pics if it would help...
