Default turn signals quit working

Where do I start to track this problem down? I haven't gotten a chance to look at anything yet, but I will start with fuses. Then where.....?

First, check the fuse, if it's OK, then....

Turn on your 4-way flasher and find that flasher by following the noise and feel it for clicking. That's not the one you want.

There are two flashers under the dash, both look alike. Find the other flasher and install a new one. Seems they change the location from car to car, so you'll just have to keep looking 'til you find it.

Good luck!

Could be the rather large switch connected to the turn signal arm too ... the one in my son's 97GT went south and it controls a ton of stuff ... front and rear signals ... emergency flashers ... and the high stop light among others ... if all else fails try that.

Thanks for the replies guys! It ended up just being a loose fuse...it wasn't even blown. I guess I should of just checked before I even posted, but I am never lucky enough to have something simple like that fix a problem. All my little problems always turn into day long projects, so I just assumed the turn signals would too. Oh well, luckily it was just the fuse.

Good, glad it was an easy fix. Maybe now that it works, turn on the signal and find the flasher location. Will make it easier to find if it ever does go bad.
