Concours undercarriage restoration
I recently purchased a '71 Mach 1 that I would like to restore to near concours condition. My question involves the engine, engine compartment, undercarriage, and suspension. Where do I find info on the correct placement & colors of assembly line inspection marks, tags, etc? How about correct types of plating, finishes & application techniques? Is there a "bible" that the concours resto shops use? Where do they get their information? I've been unable to find any good web resourses, so if someone would point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
TIA, 71Mach |

Contact Mustang Club of America. They are the definitive authorities on this as they supply most of the judges at concourse events. Not really "my cup of tea", but they would be the ones with the info and publications.
