update on my 390
well, I fixed the carb... the insides were all crapped out. But now comes the bad news... smoke is POURING out from her tailpipes!!! Now I need to rip the heads off and see what's going on...

Yeah check all those things before don't wana take anything apart if you don't need to. I know I wouldn't. Could be the valve stem seals. If it is upon start up and really gunning it it could be. Dont have to take the heads off to replace them.

well, I hope you didnt pull the heads for no reason... you know.. if it kept flooding, it probably trashed the set of plugs in it.. probably just need new ones... ;-)

OK, well, I ripped the plugs out and did a compression check... Somethings definatly wrong with the drivers side of the block...
