Question V6 and V8 Differences

Besides suspension, brakes, rear end, and spindles, are there any structural differences between a 1967-68 6 cylinder and an 8 cylinder? I know convertibles have more bracing than coups and fastbacks for obvious reasons. I am wondering if the 6-8 cylinder differences are only in bolt on parts, or if there are also structural differences.

I want my next car to be a restomod with 4 wheel disc brakes rack and pinion steering 351 or maybe even a late model V8 engine, Manual tranny of course. I am not looking for an OEM setup. Seeing that 6 cylinders are usually cheaper I figured that I could pick one up and install all the new beefier components listed above and save a buck. I am not concerned with keeping the car original. I want a daily driver that handles better than the original.

I want to build a 67 or 68; I have not yet decided if it would be a coup or a fastback yet. I am leaning towards the fastback.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
