Default tfs intake, tfs valve covers, NOTHING FITS

For the first time since I put my motor together I tried to put the EGR spacer, throttle body on. Well, not ONLY does the EGR spacer not clear the fuel pressure regulator, but the throttle linkage doesnt even get CLOSE to clearing the valve covers. I cant even get the throttle body half way on the studs before it hits the valve covers. I wouldnt be so amazed if I had some other companies valve covers, but I have Trick Flow valve covers and Trick flow Intake. Shouldnt this fit? Has anyone else ever encountered this problem? Please help, my frustration level is rising very quickly, i havent had any luck today.

i thought you only needed the intake spacer if you removed the egr spacer, guess not!!! i run the intake spacer, the track heat hits the stock hood though.

Default upper/lower spacer...

You will probably need a 1" spacer between your upper and lower manifold.
Additionally, you may need either to get an EGR "blank-off" plate which is considerably thinner, mine's only 1/2". If your EGR system is intact, you simply need to modify the throttle linkage bracket my removing/trimming the lower portion of the bracket.

Isn't it fun when they don't tell you everything?
Good luck.

I have Trickflow valve covers and the Trickflow street heat intake, no problems here. You must have gotten the Tall TFS valve covers. With those you need a phenolic spacer for the valve covers to clear the intake. But when a spacer is used the Trickflow intake will not fit under the stock hood. So hope you got a cowl.

I didn't think there was a 3/4 inch spacer. Either way, I returned the valve covers and ordered the short ones saturday delivery. I should have the new combo up and running tomorrow.

There isn't a 3/4" spacer. There is a 3/8" spacer, and yes that will clear the stock hood, but I don't think the intake will clear the tall valve covers still. Maybe try different valve covers

TFS Heads and Intake, and STANDARD (not tall) valvecovers fit just right:

You may wish to try those spacers to get the room you need.
