wanting to rebuild engine have questions
ok so this is my first post here so please bear with me. i have a 67 mustang with a 289 motor its old and tired and i am going to rebuild it. i know how to do all of that but im not the greatest with all of the numbers like ratios compresions and stuff like that. i would like to upgrade from the 289 to a 302 possibly the boss. i would like to just bore it out and ad the nesicary parts rather than buy another motor.
i am hoping that some one will be able to help me out with this an give me some info on if this is possible i was told it was but the more gouge i can get the better. i have also done a bit of research and it looks possible besides new pistions and having to bore it out some. is this true?
also it seem that its not that big off a jump from the 289 to a 302. would it be better to just rebuild the 289 insted of doing the up grade. and if so what can i do to give it more power?
thanks for the help an hopefully some one can help.
