Unless you are getting a really great deal buy an 8 cylinder mustang. Don't get me wrong, the 6 cylinder is great (especially the way she accelerates), but it is alot of work to convert to an 8 cylinder. I know what is in for store for you, cause I'm there now. I got a sweet deal on my car ($740), but I plan to race her, so the 6 banger has to go. I have a long road ahead of me. Heres what you would have to do. You have to get a bigger rear end, the tranny (the 3 speed will not handle the torque of an 8 cylinder, even a 289), the front suspension even has to be changed (control arms, tie rods, etc.) If you want to convert the brakes then you might want to do Granada conversion, or you can buy a kit (granada brakes are cheaper).
