What size carb?

I`m thinking of loosing the 670 cfm carb on the 351C and going with a 750DP. The kicker is i`m not sure what cam is in the car. The guy I bought it from didnt know, but said it was a comp cam 2 above stock. I`m planning of throwing a 100 shot at the car soon for extra fun. Is it worth it or should I stay with the 670?

Everytime that question is asked around here, we all get in a fist fight  lol ... With me it would depend on how much track time (wide open throttle) time you get. If it's mostly a street car with a mild cam, you should be fine with what you have. If you're gonna wrap it up really tight and want all the top end you can bleed out of it, i'd make the change, IMO

Agree with HotRoddin for the most part.

A drivable street car with an automatic should be OK with the 670. Also, the automatic doesn't need a double pumper or mechanical secondaries. Just overkill.

Street driving/racing depends on low end torque more then anything else. Large carbs kill low end punch.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like im gonna stay with the 670 for now. I just wasnt sure if the 750 would have been better with a shot of spray. The Holley site lists the 670 for 300-400 hp cars.
