If matt1190 reads this, I'd be interested in seeing some pictures of the brackets he made to adapt these seats to fit in his car. I have a set of these seats out of a 91 lude that I would like to install in my car. Anybody else do this? Any help would be great. Thanks.

The seats were not recovered. However, they are black cloth & have vertical stiching on the center of the seat. Sort of like the stitching on the original vinyl seats. The original seats I will keep. Would be nice to find a rear seat to recover & match the new fronts. Anyway, figured I will try & get an extra set of mustang seat tracks & mount them to these seats. BTW, the prelude seats have lumbar/side bolsters/recline. Originals....none of the above. Figured I'd try this before dropping serious coinage for some aftermarkets.

well, my digital camera sucks ***** but this was the best pic I could get. I'll post a drawing of the brackets in a little bit, these seats have lumbar, and they recline (yeaaaahh!),. and because I used the original tracks, the seat still slides.

well, nothing in the pic is to scale,
and I'm sorry I didnt keep any of the original dimensions, but it went together something like this. You'll have to drill out the rivets that hold the honda track to the feet of the chair, then, you'll bolt up the adapter plates, (four painted pieces of 1/4" steel. see pic) The plates must be drilled out with eight holes each, large enough in diameter to fit atleast a 5/16" wide bolt. You can use some of the existing holes, left behind from the rivets that you just drilled out, although you have to ream them out all to the same size so the bolts can fit through. The distances between the holes on the plate, obviously, should correspond with the distances between each of the track mounting points and the seat mointing points. I assembled the pieces in order (from top to bottom on the pic). It's actually much easier than it sounds, so long as you have a good drill. It took me a couple hours and it looks and feels awesome. People may laugh that they came from a ricer but hey, you won't slide outta your seat when you're kickin their *** thru the turns!! Plus, that recliner action WILL come in handy BTW, there is barely any room under the seat (even though the drawing shows there is). It has a pretty low profile, despite the fact that there are a bunch of pieces under the seat. Good luck man!!!
