Thats easy. 65-66 Fastback. Money aside that is.
67-70 if your building a big block. On my budget I would get the later. You can find a notch back and add the scoops, spoiler and other tough looking stuff. Dont forget American Torqe Thrust Wheels (unpolished). |

460 makes some good points, but it's all subjective. Personally, I prefer the "true" fastback design of the 67-8's and prefer the styling of the 65-6's in coupe and convert's. I think the 69-70's are probably the most agressive looking. Truth of the matter is there's no wrong choice when it comes to a classic. Unless, like 460 points out, you want alot of cubes.

Amen!
All mustangs are great. When I was looking I wanted a convertible. I think I get more looks in my '65 fastback than any convert. Just get one you like. -JON |

I agree with hehhehmule with how he said 69-70's are the most aggressive looking. If you do want a fastback, try your best not to get a 69-70. They are huge and you have to have big cubes (428) because you need the torque to get them off the line quick enough to get close to 13s in the 1320. If a fastback is what you want go for the 65-66 or even 67-68s are pretty nice looking too. If you're looking for a coupe go with the 69-70. And 65-66 converts are probably the best years for them. My overall favorite model from 65-70 would be the body style that I have. '69 Coupe. I love my car.

I will definitely say the 69 mustang is the best looking.67-70 are the best but are not easy to shop for unless you have the right catalogs. Those are the years when the BB came into play so if you want power 69-70 is the best choice. I have a 69 Coupe for sale, if you want to look at it,go right on to the Classifieds and go close to the end of the first page.
