will B&M fit 67 console?
my brother in law almost blew his motor because of the lame stock t-shifter in the factory console of his 67 coupe. we have a B&M starshifter now for the c-4 but we dont want to take out the sweet factory console. a call to B&M and the tech guy there says there isnt a ratchet shifter for this application. is there anyone out there that has done this modification or has seen an aftermarket ratchet style shifter in a car with the console unbutchered and intact? we arent afraid of modifying under the carpet if we have to but we would like the final result to be clean and professional.

I have been looking to do this to my 65 w/console for a long time. I have never seen a replacement shifter that fit. The guts of the stock shifter are very low profile compared to all the aftermarket shifters. If anyone has seen this successfully done please let us know!
