![]() I'm in need for some new rubber out back, they are wussy Tiger Paw 225/60/16's that came with the car when I bought it. What are some good tires for street racing? I need some real meat to take a chunk out of the road! But I also don't want it to take a chunk out of my wallet. Alot of my friends run Patenza's and Pirelli's, and one guy has Nitto's. Any suggestions? (I've got the stock pony 5-star rims)

![]() Nittos or BFG DR will be the best you can run legally on the street, but tread life might be an issue. Firehawk S220s are also highly recomended.

![]() I bought a pair of firehawks used with 70% to 80% tread on them for 70$. Go around to the places and ask if they have used tires and pick the best ones.

![]() If you want the best street tire for racing go with ET Streets. They make a 26/10.5/16 and a 26/11.5/16. They are worth the money.

![]() yeah but if you plan on driving the car over decent distances (20+ miles) they heat up really fast and aren't exactly the safest once that happens.

![]() The ET Streets aren't the best tires to try to turn with but for all out traction they are better than any street tire. I drive to work with them which is about 30 miles each way never have any problems. Go to street races and drive with no problems. In Michigan the roads are the worst you'll ever find.
