door glass for 69 convertible
I need a door glass for my 69 convertible.Ive found a 70 coupe door glass in the local junkyard priced right. Are the two windows interchangeable. Also Ive thought about swapping the 302 for a 460. I understand that header clearance is an issue. Ive priced headers for this swap at 650. Call me crazy but I cant bring myself to pay 650 for headers and am interested in other solutions aside from cutting. Thanks |

I dont know if that is the right side glass for a convertible, but I do know that '70 door glass is FAR superior to '69 door glass.
The '69 glass glues into a channel, which is common to fail. The '70 door glass has a hole through it to mount it solid to the mechanism. The '70 FB fits '69 FB cars. I would seriously check/measure the '70 glass and seek the '70 instead of '69 convertible glass if the coup glass dont work. fwiw, Tom |
