If I spent $50k on a car, you'd better believe it would dyno at better than 315hp! Over 3800 people have checked it out, and he's (as of now) only got 12 bids for less than $12k. I totally believe it when he says it was a woman who planned it out (no offense). Too much money on designer names, and not enough of quality mods. It still has the factory airbox! This lady needs to give me a call. I'll build her a real Mustang.

Take care,
-Chris

Chris,

That 315hp is rather pathetic. Where do you think the bottleneck is?

$50K. I really can't see it. The suspension and brakes are probably the most expensive parts, but then, I bet everything was installed by a mechanic. That is probably where most of the money went.

Okay i dunno maybe im just strange but i think if i would have spent 50k on building a car there are at least two things id do that this person didnt..

1) Id paint the firewall to actually match the outer body color ( im just thinking that the extra 3-4k for getting that done would have been worth it.

2) I wouldnt have used electrical tape to go around the wires leading to my shift light (I mean thats just me personally but i wouldnt want to say oh yeah i spent 50k building this baby......yes that black electrical tape is top of the line.....i had it custom made for the car)

Jim-
Off the top, I'd say the cam. It's probably a gas mileage cam.

Take care,
-Chris

Well, the first thing that jumped out at me was the Pro M Bullitt 75mm MAF. What in the heck are they using that thing with 36lb/hr injectors for? It could run fine on 24lbers, but the Bullitt has a horrible reputation of problems with calibrations above 19lb/hr.

My best guess is it's making crappy power because it was originally setup to be supercharged with low compression. That and it has to have a crappy cam choice in their too. I'm not impressed with the fuel economy if it was a mileage cam, so either it's improperly tuned, or just a complete turd of a combo. Any combo with that much money into it should be making in excess of 400hp.

I initially skimmed over the laundry list of mods, completely missing the hp it put out. I was impressed with a lot of the suspention work and the condition it was in. (I really liked the roll bar covering used too!)

Unit-
You have a really good point. When I was reading it, I kept expecting them to say it had an S-Trim or something, and was dumbfounded when they didn't. I'll bet it is a blower motor minus the blower.

Take care,
-Chris
