anyone who knows about trannys hellllppp!!!
i just got my car back from getting a new lentech aode street terminator with a 10" torque converter that stalls at 2800 rpms. ok my question is it drives fine under normal driving but when i go from a dead stop and floor it the rpms just rev up and the car goes nowhere. when i manually put it in first gear it normally goes and stalls at 2800 rpms and goes just fine. ive heard that since its an electronic transmission the computer might have to adjust to it could this be right????????

Sounds like you need to get on the horn with Len. I don't have an AODE, but I'll assume that it doesn't use the TB cable like my AOD could use to control the line pressures relative to the throttle. I'm pretty sure the AODE uses the TPS to make the 'kickdown' changes to line pressures. Is your shifter cable properly adjusted so that you're completely in gear? I'm just reaching for things here, so I'd really recommend you call Lentech's tech line and get an answer before you burn up your clutches.

It sounds like it may be a sticking valve in the valve body. I am not familiar with the Lentech. Is it a fully manual valvebody?

i took the car to strickly performance, all they do is mustangs, and they said that the valve body is no good. The tranny is 2 days old and was $2600 im sending the entire transmission back and strickly perfomance is converting my auto to a 5 speed for about $2000 but it looks like im gonna be bummin rides for a while again . does $2000 sound
about right for the entire conversion. ------------------ 1995 gt convertible: 3.55 gears, underdrive pulleys, cobra intake , fenderwell cold air, 65mm throttle body, 75mm mass air meter, off-road h pipe, borla cat back, custom diablo chip, 155lph fuel pump lentech aode street terminator w/ 10" converter stalls at 2800 rpms, yokohama a520(drag radials) 275s |

sounds about right...and your estimate of 7 tenths improvement w/ the T5 also sounds accurate.
