It seems w/ your suspension setup you should be getting better 60ft times then that. I went to the track for the first time ever Sat and ran my stock suspension 3:27 geared auto Tbird on 215/70/15's and I got 2.2 60 ft times.
I think you need to get to the root of the wheel hop and changing to 4:10's shouldn't help that. Slicks of course will help your 60ft times, but I still don't think that will get to the root of the hop problem. I would make a post about wheel hop and see how these other guys experienced it and how they took care of it. I think your current set-up should yield at least 2.0
