Attention Drag Radial Racers
Representatives of one of the largest and most recognizable drag radial tire manufacturers have contacted us here at the MustangWorks.com and asked for our assistance in finding, and verifying, the fastest quarter-mile pass made on a drag radial tire. If you or someone you know has made a pass that you think might take top honors, email me at jchambers@mustangworks.com with your best ET and MPH. Realize that to be in the running for top honors, you're going to have to be in the class of racers like Willie Figueroa and his 8.67@164.14 pass at the World Street Nationals last fall. All top contenders may be asked to verify their submissions with copies of the actual time slip.

Sounds like another BF Goodrich 2 page spread!

Jeff, as far as I know, Figueroa is the fastest.
The only other one that comes close is "Big Daddy" Dwayne Gutridge at 9.08 at 15? mph. In Canada, we've had 9 sec cars, but I've never heard of an 8 sec pass up here on drag radials. Please let us know what the results are. ------------------ 91 coupe 3.73's,long tubes,2 1/2" exh, ported stock t-body,ProM-77mm cobra intake, edelbrock heads,B303,1.72 rr's 36lb inj's,tremec, & a Paxton NOVI 2000!!! 11.020 @128.95 on BFG Drag Radials (275/60/15) |
