Question Battery relocation tips

Hello all, I am in the process of installing a battery relocation kit into my rear hatch. I have the Moroso sealed battery box, a master on/off switch, and am relocation the starter relay to the rear of the car as well. I am using 4 gauge wire for the starter/batt terminals and 10 gauge for the alternator charge wire. I am trying to find anyone who knows any tips/tricks to pass along to me to help make this install any easier. I am trying not to fall into pitfalls that others may have before me. Thanks for any help you can supply.

PS-the car is a five speed.

I followed this site:

This way it is NHRA legal.

Here's mine with the Taylor box:

I agree with the above post thats how I plan to do mine in a few weeks. As far as using 10g wire thats nowhere near big enough. If you use small wire you'll have trouble starting the car when its hot.

if you dont want any problems then do it like this

run 1/0 GA welding cable from the battery to the starter soiloniod..run 4 gauge welding cable from the Alternator to the starter soilniod also(only if your running a 3G alt) it might be a wise deseicion to run a dedticated 4 gauge wire up to the front for the computer and sensor grounds besides running a piece of 1/0 GA to the floor by the battery..that way there will be ground interferance and the computer will run perfect..
i havent had problem without running a seperate ground upfront but i have heard some people do have problems with compters without doing this..

As long as you ground the battery to the frame, and have a dedicated cable between the frame and the engine, you'll be fine (those damn rubber motor mount pads don't do much for grounding!).

Take care,
