Jeff, congrats on the win. I am asking gearing questions again. The Freehold "Project Stocker" What ratio does he use? What do the Trophy Stock guys use? Thanks

I'm not sure about Project Stocker, but they run a taller tire on the car so they probably have a pretty tall gear in it maybe a 4.88 or 5.13 with the 29" tall tire.

Most of the Street Warrior cars were running either a 4.30 or 4.56 gear this year. I ran a 4.56 because I switched to carburetor and was shifting first at about 7200. I started out with a 4.30 but just couldn't get the engine up into the RPM range it needed to be happy. I switched to the 4.56 and picked up two-tenths on the first pass down track. I would like to try a 4.88 sometime but I think it would be too much. From my calculations a 4.70 would be just about perfect.

With the rule changes in store for next year (aluminum heads, long tubes, 26x10" tire, etc.) I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board to see what will work best, but it will probably still be in the 4.56 range to keep from killing the top end MPH.

Thanks for the info. I have 4.30s, I just went to a 28.5 x 8 x 15. I am yet to go to the track, they refuse to open during a hurricane??? Well when the open, I see how I do and what I cross at.
