Without a doubt get the Explorer GT-40 upper and lower. It makes great torque and HP and you can pick it up for $200.00.

It is a great naturaly aspirated intake and will not make you slower with the stock heads like some intakes will.

Later.

Cobra cost twice as much doesnt perform any better and the explorer requires about 10 minutes worth of modifacations.

JMO.......but I have owned both.

Thats strange. Every test I have ever seen ever always has the cobra outperforming the explorer intake....but for him, it might be the best choice anyway for the other reasons mentioned.

I bought the Trick Flow street intake for $400 and i couldn't be happier with it. My car now actually pulls up to 5500 rpm whereas before it used to die at 4500rpm with power dropping off at 4000. 4000rpm is now the sweet spot of the engine i haven't noticed any drop in torque anywhere in the power band. The trick flow intake was easy to install also.

In that case, go for the Edelbrock performer RPM. Great street/strip intake and easy to port with the removeable plenum cover.
