Post mexican block

I just wanted to know if anyone has run high 9's with a mexican 302 block? I have a steel crank, good rods, and a main stud girdle.I also have a mexican 302 block but I do not want to build a bomb!!! If I have to buy an a-4 or r block i guess thats what I'll do. Iknow thats probably the best idea but I would like to hear from anyone who has run this fast with this set up.the motor will also have .550 lift cam,tfs twisted wedge heads, and an ati with at least 14 psi. thanks

I know Steve Barton runs one in his NA 352 setup. He just ran 10.3 in the FFW in Bradenton. I havent spoken to him since last season, but I can bet its the same motor(he built it for Street Stock then the class changed)
