Talking My first 12sec run

Took my car to U.S. 41 Dragway Saturday. I put a B&M Hammer shifter on my AOD. I had to make some mods to it before I could do the 1-D-1 shift. The Hammer makes the 1-D-1 shift a snap. My best run on the motor was 14.10 leaving it in drive. I pulled out a 13.68 using the 1-D-1 shift. On my last run I turned on the nitrous. My bottle was almost empty. I didn't plan on running it so I never got it filled. The nos sputter once at about the 60ft and ran out at about the 1/8 mile. I pulled out a 12.73 at 102.94mph on a 125 shot. My goal for the day was to get in the mid 13s on the motor(not bad for an engine with 140k miles). I reached my goal and got my first 12sec run to boot. GREAT DAY!!!!!

You ought to check into a Lentech valvebody. Their 1,2,3/4 shift pattern will do away with the ol' 1-D-1 dance all together. You'll be able to shift manually at the street but still have the 'put it in drive and go' for the street. It'll definitely extend the life of your AOD too.

Congrats on both runs though. I've got all of my major runs bookmarked in the back of my mind. They're all passes that I'll never forget.
